Training for Amarr Battleships by Skrizzy215in Eve

[–]lowlevelguy 1 point2 points ago

Didn't see this, I fly Amarr and the two most useful skills imho are:

  • Controlled Bursts 5
  • Energy Management 5

without those your lazors will suck your duracell dry fast.

I am a scammer. AMA. by cheezymadmanin Eve

[–]lowlevelguy 1 point2 points ago

Milla is a Rens scammer running the fully fitted Hulk (with no hulk), rigged t3 with books instead of subs, mega instead of navy mega scams. His only redeeming quality is that he has hours of time to convo local so he's like a personality there with occasional scam contracts.

Convincing new people to play EVE online by lxkhnin Eve

Not to beat a dead horse, but I had to leave a corp because of derp to get my friends involved. My first friend wasn't patient enough to HTFU to the niggerfagbrojew funtimes, he was turned off by the 'halo' mentality of the original corpies.

My new corp is much more mature and I have two buds, one of them has faded a bit, the other is obsessed. I'll try to get the original guy back now that I'm in a better corp.

Combat boosters. Can I have it in my hull while passing through highsec gates? by mrzismein Eve

Use a covops and stay cloaked as much as possible, it's actually not that hard to do.

I've seen some fairly large piles of unistas in that area, do they operate by NRDS in lowsex?

Just how much money can you make off wormholes? (Newb corp) by aloha2436in Eve

[–]lowlevelguy 2 points3 points ago

If you go with a C3, you'll probably need a low/null exit, most highsec ones are occupado and are gonna have a lot of traffic. This means your static will suck and local sleeper farming will probably not be enough to plex everyone.

If you can find a c2 with a c3 and lowsec static, dunno if they exist, you'll be able to make good sleeper cash, and stay relatively safe from tourists.

The hole itself provides some good opportunities for cash besides sleepers...

PI all the planets to make p4 stuff, react all the ladars, refine all the ABC ores, collapse your static to farm neighbors and you can make good 'passive' bank.

One POS will run 400m in fuel and supplies or so per month. Each player with lvl 4 PI skills should make 200 mil per month. Reacting gasses should get you 2-300 mil per month. Refining ABCs should see a similar amount, all of this with not a lot of :effort:

You'll need to be able to: * Fly cloaked, if you can't you'll hate wspace * Collapse holes, do your research, MWD BS, Orcas and HICs with multiple bubbles are your friends. * Harvest Gas * Hack/Salvage/Analyze cans at lvl 3 or higher

and scan, always with the scanning.

Super pro tip, you can maintain 'look at' while burning out to set a >150 bounce spot. Doesn't work on ships but you can burn to 300 or so.

That's exactly what I do. Targets are vertical on the right next to overview. the bottom of the screen is filled with drones, watch-list, local, chats, cargo.

nah, I sprung for 5, the benefits are worth it, plus I have Caldari, Amarr and Gallente Cruiser 5 so the benefits are threefold.

At level 5 you can basically cap out anything smaller than a BS in 12 seconds

[–]lowlevelguy[S] 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, I tried two TDs no web, but you really need the web/scram combo to hold the target down.

I swap between 2 medium 1 small neut and all mediums depending on the circumstances. For solo (lawl) work the small helps keep a single target capped, otherwise you have to stagger the mediums and eat cap boosters like candy.

[–]lowlevelguy[S] 0 points1 point ago

I agree? somewhat, 4 is a bit too much to manage, it's nice to be able to keep eyes on or close the holes that yield no targets. So this is either a bunch of collapsing work to be had or parking cloakies with speakers up while you gallivant about.

My favorite of course, if a hole that opens outside dscan range of an active hole's POS and sites. Easy pickings. :)

Buff Drake?

I'm learning how to pvp, need some good T1 ships to fly in small gangs. by Fl1pzomgin Eve

[–]lowlevelguy 0 points1 point ago*

flying off or realizing T1 resists will suck no matter what you do?

Edit: When I roam Solo, I'm vulnerable at gates, but from there I stalk from safes and can pick and choose the initial engagement. If I've sprung a trap I can spot the friends in local and dscan. Some heat on the MWD and I can usually get away.

If I'm in an armor version, I won't be able to get away as easily, so the shield - and I concur the tank EHP and resists are less - acts as a tactical defense, I can engage at the edge of disruptor range and disengage if something goes wrong. I get more dps because my lows are filled with gyros and te's instead of stacking up a large armor buffer or repairer.

Active armor will need a cap booster, add prop mod and scram and you don't get the benefit of using a 4th slot for tds or damps, so the 3 mids bite the armor variant too.

If you think that a shield Rupture is a bad idea, fine, I disagree. Maybe it's our style of pvp when solo, and the Rupture is a good cheap nano ship that I enjoy flying.

What ship/role do you have the most fun playing? by cedargrovein Eve

I like the SFI, 100mn Tengu, Proteus, Oracle, Pilgrim.

There's something primal about flying a Hurricane though, like I'm a member of the Jets on the way to a Rumble

No EFT available, here's a fit Mids LSE II Warp Disruptor II
MWD

Lows
  Suitcase
  TE
  Nano
  2 Gyros

Rigs
  2 MCDFE
  1 Anti EM Screen Reinforcer

Gets like 15k EHP I think? Can't check, I'm in a wormhole and the only exit I have is through a system with hostiles we riled up into null and my ruppies are in highsec.

Edit: 20k EHP

I prefer the gtfo-ability and damage of the shield variety for some roams, but yeah the armor rep and armor buffer versions are both nice ships. I usually have one of each to chose from and go with a whim.

If I'm solo I usually fly the shield/disruptor one since it lets me engage and disengage better.

Join RvB Ganked, it's a weekend roam with a theme hull.

Basically a bunch of drunk brits stumbling around null killmail whoring. They're a great bunch of dudes and you'll learn a lot about fleet work.

I spent two hours roaming Molden Heath a few days ago solo in a Shield Rupture.

I avoided two large fleets and chased 2 Harbys, a Cane, a Rifter, Myrm and a Fed Comet around but couldn't get anyone to fight.
