Solar power station in Spain works at night by quakerortsin energy

Technically this plant is very interesting. That said it cost $260 million to provide electrical power to 25,000 home for just 270 days per year. They now know based on actual running data the plant will operate fewer days than original though. That is why the technology has not been sold or exported. Its just not good enough.

At least it was worth trying, but most likely a dead end technology.

China to drop solar energy to focus on nuclear power by agoldinin energy

Solar and wind works when you don't have a main power grid to connect to...Many areas of China are remote and the cost of pulling a high voltage power line cost around $10,000 per mile. So for many people, solar is the only solution. That said, don't plan to run your factory on solar...

China coal production has peaked... Its hard to go up when you're mines are already at overproduction levels.

Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich explains why gas prices are rising. Hint: it has nothing to do with the Keystone XL pipeline. by er2012in energy

[–]GlobalWarmingBunny 0 points1 point ago*

Gasoline prices are increasing in the USA even as demand keeps falling worldwide. The reason the USA is paying more for gasoline is that Obama has gutted the value of the dollar by print so much money...

We don't need an idiot like Reich to talk about a pipeline that has not even been built.

Reich an Idiot..

Climate Change as a Moral Panic by Will_Powerin climateskeptics

It's sad that the moral panic that occurred during the acid rain crisis was never fully covered. The massive government study wasted billions of dollars only to conclude there was no acid rain. However, no one ever talks about it.
